This wk's strips: "Marquee Values/My Favorite's Things"

Regarding Karima's T-shirt here, Neda Agha-Soltan, martyr of the 2009 Iranian elections, would have been 28 on January 23. Her name does indeed mean "voice" in Persian. Here's hoping 2010 will bring volume to that voice.

enjoyed that Avarice in the background. is this the movie where really good poor people get transported into a strange green world that closely resembles the upper echelons of corporate finance and turn into greedy maniacs?

R--yes, even though it was mostly spent on a 17 hour flight to Hawaii! K--wow, I have to hear more of this analysis!

Wow--you really do get around. Your most recent post on ghostwriting is propitious as well, since I've been getting e-mails from Miami-Dade College, the same people who did the book fair in November, about the Miami International Film Festival (March 5-14, 2010) and I've been considering volunteering for them. I don't suppose you plan on attending?

There actually is a chance I'll be there this year. You will hear it here first if so...

Their website is www.miamifilmfestival.com, by the way. If it makes a difference at all, if you were to attend and you needed any help with logistics, there is a chance I would be available for that.
