BITTER GIRL

Bitter Girl, the comic strip for the cranky urban girl in all of us, began as angry, needy doodles in the margins of a journal during an ill-fated affair. It first ran as a full-page feature in Minneapolis’  FocusPoint in 1998. From 2001-2012, the strip was distributed by Q Syndicate, appearing in the Dallas Voice, Philadelphia Gay News, Pridesource, Seattle Gay News, South Florida Gay News, Gay Calgary and Lesbian Connection, to name a few.

The strip is on indefinite hiatus, but happily, you can read the full run right here!

MEET THE GIRLS

Here’s my cast. I’m just the crew. It’d be nice if they bought me donuts once in a while, but for imaginary women, they’re very busy.

BITTER GIRL: THE EARLY YEARS

This was the strip’s original format in FocusPoint. Q Syndicate asked me to switch to a four-panel format for new material and whittle any reusable full-pagers down accordingly. Easier said than done! None of these made the cut.
