This wk’s strips: “Home Baits/Alaska Girl Out”
Every year I feel a little guilty about using year-old reference for the Pride parade strip, and then I get to the parade and y’know what? There’s always someone in a boa, or with a whistle, or wearing a T-shirt she only takes out twice a year. Let’s face it, who wears red, green and beige on the 4th of July? Having said that, I still needed to fill out the crowd, so the out-of-town girlfriend from I Wonder makes an appearance here.

Bitter Coffee
Thanks to the heroic effort of my fellow cartoonist Tony Murphy (It’s All About You) and Kickstarter, Bitter Girl has an NYC print outlet again in Coffee Talk, a new comics broadsheet debuting this week all around Brooklyn’s coffee joints. Support strippers, buy an ad!

Attack of the Queer Cartoonists!

Howard Cruse, Jennifer Camper, and Ivan Velez Jr. take Manhattan all week long for Pride. I’ll join them Thursday at Jim Hanley’s Universe, moderating a panel discussion, or trying to. We’re celebrating many things, but mainly the new edition of Howard’s seminal graphic novel Stuck Rubber Baby, with this beautiful new cover and a new introduction by Alison Bechdel.
